Untill his recent retirement, agronomist Wim Boswinkel (1947, The Netherlands) lived for almost 40 years in a number of African and Latin-American countries. After initially working at commercial tea and coffee estates, from 1980 onwards he found his real call in running rural development programs with the main focus on promoting small-scale sustainable agriculture. As a sideline he wrote 2 ( published) novels set in Africa, and was also a regular contributor to some Dutch papers and magazines. At present, Wim and his wife Corinne are now settled in Holland, where he still does a bit of writing, getting inspired during long daily forest walks with dog Jaye and through some voluntary work in a nature reserve.
